We excel on the business side of the operation – management, administrative operations, finance, accounting, reporting, and systems that can all be leveraged to work together to help businesses streamline administrative operations and get the information they need to make good, solid decisions based on facts, not just gut feeling. We understand that gut feeling is often the right way to make a decision, too. Working with the business owner, our job as a trusted advisor is to explain what consequences we believe a decision may have today and later on down the road. We have clients nationwide that range from $1m-$40m+ in annual revenues.
I have spent over 15 years in the landscape maintenance industry and helped one of the premier companies on the Front Range nearly triple in size over that time. While there, I was the owner’s trusted advisor and established operating processes and automation tools that helped keep administrative overhead nearly level through that growth and, ultimately, helped to position the business for a successful acquisition, playing a key role in guiding it through that process.
I am not an accountant or a bookkeeper, but I can bring a level of clarity to the information that these important professionals provide and help develop additional tools to further analyze that data.
My MBA is in finance and accounting from Regis University in Denver where I received graduate honors. My undergraduate degree is in management from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. Education is nice, but it cannot ever replace good common sense and instinct! I have served on multiple boards of directors and committees, including current positions on GreenCo’s legislative committee, as an officer of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado Board of Directors, and as a board member of the Thrive Coaching Network, a non-profit organization. Previously I served as a board member and president of the Rocky Mountain Classis. Additionally, I have lobbied Colorado legislators both in Colorado and in Washington, D.C. about the importance of the H-2B program to the landscape industry and in 2013 was fortunate enough to be invited to address a large group of Congressional staffers about the importance of the program. I am also a notary public for the State of Colorado.
